MAIN SESSIONS
The three best contributions to the main sessions will be awarded a one-year-free subscription to the Journal CHROMOSOMA.

CONCURRENT SYMPOSIA AND SYMPOSIA AWARD
Outstanding abstracts will be selected by the Programme Committee for oral presentation in the Concurrent Symposia A-H in the afternoons of September 5 and 7, 2001 (15:00-18:00). There will be 70 - 80 speakers in these Symposia.

The three best contributions to these sessions will be awarded a one-year-free subscription to the Journal CYTOGENETICS AND CELL GENETICS. The awards will be selected by the Programme Committee.

All lecture rooms will be equipped with single slide projection (format 5 cm x 5cm, 35 mm film). The speakers will have the appropriate assistance for slide projection during their lectures. It is recommended that the authors check their slides in the assigned lecture hall at least one hour prior to their session.

The speakers will have 15 min for presentation and 5 min for discussion.

POSTER EXHIBITION and POSTER AWARDS
Poster viewing will be possible throughout the Conference, during the coffee breaks as well as during the entire afternoon of September 6, 2001 ("wine and cheese" poster viewing session) as a tasty alternative to the Sightseeing Tour.

The posters can be thoroughly discussed with their authors during the Poster Sessions 1 and 2 in the afternoons of September 5 and 7 (13:30-15:00).

The Programme Comittee will select the three most attractive and original posters whose first authors will receive an one-year-free subscription to the Journal CHROMOSOME RESEARCH.

The area of the poster panels measures 100 cm height x 100 cm width. Pins and adhesive material will be provided. Please use letters, figures and tables large enough to be viewed from a distance of 1.5 m.

Each participant can be the first author on one poster only, but may be co-author on posters presented by other colleagues. There is no limit to the number of times an individual may appear as co-author on posters.

The posters should be mounted by the presenters as soon as they arrive at the Conference Center, preferably on Tuesday, September 4, 2001 from 8:00-14:30.

Abstracts assigned for posters will receive a location number to be found on the poster walls. Posters should be removed on Saturday, September 8, 2001.
